There has been only one Indian short film that has won an Oscar to date, and that is "Period End of Sentence." directed by Rayka Zehtabchi. The film won the award for Best Documentary Short Subject at the 91st Academy Awards in 2019.
However, there have been several Indian films that have been nominated for an Oscar in the short film categories. Some of these films include:
