Actor Kartik Aaryan is celebrating India's victory in the T20 World Cup 2024 with a tinge of disappointment following the announcement of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma's retirement from T20 international cricket. In an interview with India Today, Kartik expressed that their retirement is a significant loss for Indian cricket. On Saturday, June 29, India secured a thrilling seven-run victory over South Africa at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados, clinching the trophy for the second time. The last time India tasted success in the T20 World Cup was under MS Dhoni's leadership in 2007.

Reflecting on Team India's victory and the intense match, Kartik said, "I'm really happy and excited that India won the World Cup yesterday. It's like a dream for all of us to witness this. The way Virat (Kohli) played in the finals and how Rohit (Sharma) said that he was saving it for the finals; even Suryakumar's (Yadav) catch was unreal. This match was a perfect nail-biter and something which a lot of us won't forget. (Jasprit) Bumrah in the end, Hardik Pandya, everyone - it was a team effort last night."

This momentous victory, paired with the emotional farewell of two cricket legends, raises intriguing questions: How will the Indian cricket team adapt to the absence of Kohli and Sharma, both on and off the field? Additionally, with this victory boosting the team's morale, what strategies will the new leadership adopt to sustain their winning streak in future tournaments?
